Where do you find quality historical and genealogical speakers, workshops, genealogy classes, topical genealogical forums, knowledgeable genealogists and historians, and a group of welcoming genealogy enthusiasts? The San Angelo Genealogical and Historical Society! Are you wondering how to find more about your family ancestry? The San Angelo Genealogical and Historical Society can get you started and keep you going. The San Angelo Genealogical and Historical Society supports genealogists who live and research Concho Valley genealogists in their pursuit of their ancestry by:

  • conducting educational activities;
  • promoting interest in genealogical and historical research;
  • collecting and preserving documents pertaining to the history of West Texas; and
  • supporting the repository and genealogy library, The West Texas Collection, at ASU through donations of genealogical and historical materials.

We meet 7:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month, September through May, for a presentation on a historical or genealogical topic. In this COVID-isolated time, SAGHS hosts monthly meetings virtually. See our website at www.saghs-tx.org for registration links.
